About the Clinic
St John of God University Hospital in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin launched its rTMS service in 2025, becoming the first hospital in Ireland to introduce consultant-led rTMS treatment for depression on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The service is led by specialist consultant psychiatrists with expertise in mood disorders and neuromodulation. Each rTMS session lasts approximately 30 minutes and is conducted daily (Monday to Friday) over 4 to 6 weeks, targeting areas of the brain involved in mood regulation for patients with treatment-resistant depression.
