Accessibility
Statement

Mental health resources should be accessible to everyone. TMS List is committed to ensuring our platform is usable by people of all abilities.

Our Commitment

TMS List is committed to conforming with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We believe that access to mental health information and provider directories is a fundamental need, and we strive to make our platform inclusive for all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.

This commitment extends to our website, mobile experience, and all interactive tools including our clinic search, comparison features, and candidacy quiz.

What We Have Implemented

Semantic HTML

All pages use proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6), landmark regions (nav, main, footer), and meaningful document structure for assistive technology.

ARIA Labels

Interactive elements, navigation menus, modals, and dynamic content include appropriate ARIA attributes (aria-label, aria-describedby, aria-live).

Keyboard Navigation

Every interactive element is fully operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible, and tab order follows logical reading sequence. Skip-to-content links are provided.

Color Contrast

Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Information is never conveyed by color alone.

Screen Reader Support

Content is tested with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android). Images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

Responsive & Zoom

The site is fully responsive from 320px to 2560px and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Text can be resized without breaking layout.

Ongoing Efforts

Regular automated and manual accessibility audits using axe, Lighthouse, and WAVE tools

User testing with individuals who use assistive technologies, including screen readers and switch devices

Staff training on accessible content authoring, including proper alt text, link descriptions, and heading structure

Continuous improvement of form labels, error messages, and validation feedback for clinic search and contact forms
