Sahlgrenska University Hospital is the largest hospital in Sweden with 17,000 employees, formed in 1997 by the merger of Sahlgrenska Hospital, Ostra Hospital, and Molndal Hospital. The hospital network, associated with the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, provides rTMS treatment through its psychiatric services. The psychiatric emergency department and adult psychiatric services are located at Ostra Hospital. Sahlgrenska has 2,000 beds across its three campuses and is a major center for psychiatric research and treatment in western Sweden.
