Psykiatri Sydvast - Enheten for Hjarnstimulering

The Unit for Brain Stimulation (Enheten for Hjarnstimulering) at Psykiatri Sydvast offers both ECT and TMS treatment for patients with affective disorders. Located at Huddinge Hospital (part of Karolinska University Hospital), the clinic serves adult psychiatry patients across the southern Stockholm catchment area. The unit collaborates with Karolinska Institute as well as other healthcare providers, colleges, and universities. TMS treatment at this facility is offered as a standard treatment option for moderate to severe depression, in line with the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's 2017 guidelines.
